Drawing
The primary goals of this course are: Students will develop technical proficiency with drawing media.  Students will understand and apply the rules and language of design.  Students will learn creative thinking skills to promote individual, original solutions to projects.
The drawing class is a rigorous introduction to materials, the process and organization of two-dimensional artwork.  Drawing from observation of two-dimensional artwork.  Drawing from observation and developing an understanding of composition are key components of work in the studio, while keeping a sketchbook and work on extended drawings are the basic for work outside of class.  Students are challenged to create expressive, unique artwork using a variety of materials including: ink, charcoal, mixed media and printing.
